It’s really easy to think, in general terms, about what we want, like:
A job you love
A beautiful house
To travel and take exciting vacations
Time to do the things you enjoy doing most
The financial security to not have to worry about money
Strong, loving relationships with family and friends
Confidence
Fulfillment
Life is busy. There’s a lot going on. Things are always coming up. It’s complicated. You only have so much energy. All of that is for sure.
But, if you’re really being honest with yourself, are you taking the steps necessary to make the things you really want a reality? Or are you working hard and hoping somehow things will fall into place?
I certainly fooled myself into thinking I was taking the necessary steps by following the path that I saw most people take. And why wouldn’t I have? That was the environment I was in. That’s natural.
Was I working in the way that fit me best; in a way that was most effective for me? No. Was I addressing the things that were potentially holding me back personally and professionally? Absolutely not.
Truthfully, the path I was on would have gotten me only two of the things I wanted—a beautiful house and financial security. If you couple those with the other items listed above—great. But by themselves, they’re more or less worthless.
Don’t fall into that same trap. For most people, at work, we focus almost all of our time on helping other people: our clients, our bosses, and our colleagues. Take some time to focus on yourself.
Working with a coach is your opportunity to do just that. The event below is an opportunity to dip your toe into the coaching waters and experience first-hand the impact it can have.
